It’s a sextett and a family affair. This band was founded in 2015 with one premise; the meeting of generations. Three (drey) musicians in the frontline of the "Affäre Dreyfuss" are the austrian saxophonist legend Martin Fuss and his sons Dominik (trp) and Florian (reeds), combined with one of the finest rhythm- sections, the band is presenting hardbop and beyond with two generations of improvisers, which go together perfectly in their stylistic and creative interaction. Besides their arrangements of seldom heard jazz-standards they present original compositions from HardBop to Latin-, Soul- and Hip Hop. The interaction and communication on the bandstand is one of the things in this band, that make a significaly difference, because the improvisers know each others so well and almost- or their whole lives. They are all continuously striving for the best in themselves and putting all their energy on the stage each and every night. Inside the reference frame of musicians family like Wilson to Marsalis, Strauss to Cyrus, they are showing the world that there is a new one rising up. Listen and see what all the fuss is about... |
