Dominik Fuss (B.A. B.A.)
Dominik Fuss is a trumpeter, composer & improvisor based in Vienna. Within his work he is constantly trying to discover a way of rethinking creative ideals and exploring the boundaries between jazz, classical and contemporary music.
Aside from purely technical considerations such as rhythm and harmony, the most important parameter in his work is its changing face, while always retaining a distinctive, essential identity.
He is part of the broad & colourful austrian music scene, where he is developing new ideas and playing leading roles in groups like the Duo Fuss/Leichtfried, the Spittelberg JazzOrchestra and his family band Affair Dreyfuss (Affäre Dreyfuss).
He released several recordings over the past decade and worked with some of the leading figures from various musical fields: Dee Dee Bridgewater, Juan Diego Florez, George Lewis, Vinko Globokar, Anthony Coleman, Bear McCreary, Mathias Ruegg & Lia Pale, Simone Kopmajer, Christian Muthspiel, Dan Pugach, Norbert Schneider and many more.
"Fuss and Leichtfried approach the freedom that the duo presents with courage in the use of space." (Xavier Plus - Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, ORF)
