Wir haben die Zeit der Ruhe genützt und präsentieren nun die Erstveröffentlichung der Band „Duo Fuss/Leichtfried“, die gleichzeitig auch die Historie dieses Ensembles erzählt. Das Album birgt kleine Geschichten („Little Tales of Light & Sorrow“) von Reisen, Heimat, Träumereien und intimen Gesprächen, die über die letzten Jahre gesammelt und nun im Alten Kinosaal des REAKTOR Wien aufgenommen wurden. Die Intimität und Fragilität spiegelt sich nicht nur in der Konversation der beiden Akteure (Dominik Fuss Trompete & Jörg Leichtfried Klavier) wider, sondern auch in der Klangfarbe und Methodik der Aufnahme, die unwiederbringlich im Moment entstand und gleichermaßen der Musik, als auch den Künstlern den nötigen Platz zum erforschen bietet.

We have used the past year of silence and are glad to present the first release of the band “Duo Fuss / Leichtfried”, which also reflects the history of this unique ensemble. The album contains little stories (“Little Tales of Light & Sorrow”) of voyages*, home, dreams and intimate conversations, which we have been collected over the past few years and now recorded in the old cinema hall of the REAKTOR Vienna. The intimacy and fragility are not only reflected in the conversation between the two musicians (Dominik Fuss trumpet & Jörg Leichtfried piano), but also in the timbre and methodology of the recording, which was irretrievably created in the moment and equally gives the music and the artists, the necessary space to explore.
