There exist a lot of trios worldwide:
The jazz trio combining piano, bass, drums; the "Cheese-Trio" in your supermarket of trust or the „Trio“ as in Beethovens Piano Sonatas.
As versatile as this term can be, is this vienna-based trioformation consisting of Maria Salamon (violin), Dominik Fuss (trumpet & trombone) and Clemens Sainitzer (violoncello). In a cross-boarder context of World-Music, Jazz, Classic and free Improvisation are this musicians really at home. In their quest to find their own, unique musical language the trio is using formulae and colours of different worlds to destill the essence of this uncommon orchestration. Everyone is composing for this chambermusic-band and strive for this interesting path, which this unique formation allows to attend.
